谢琼涛，男，汉族，1977年12月出生于湖南省永祁阳县，理学教授。2000年6月获湖南师范大学物理教育专业学士学位;2003年6月获湖南师范大学凝聚态物理专业硕士学位;2006年至6年获湖南师范大学理论物理专业博士学位。2006年7月至2008年6月，在中国科学院物理研究所从事博士后研究。2008年7月始任湖南师范大学物理与信息科学学院教师，现为现为海南师范大学科学技术院副院长、教授，硕士生导师，海南省物理学类专业教学指导委员会副主任委员。

    谢琼涛教授主要从事极端条件下量子物理效应研究。主讲本科生课程：《普通物理》《力学》《原子物理学》《量子力学》等，硕士生课程：《计算物理》《冷原子物理》等。

    主要学术成果：任职期间，在国内外学术刊物上发表SCI论文63篇。其研究项目《玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚原子的混沌运动及其控制》获湖南省自然科学奖一等奖。
